The entry-call for Cinedans FEST 2027 is now open!

You can submit your film in one of the following categories:

CINEDANS FEST 2027

  • INTERNATIONAL STUDENT COMPETITION 2027 (no entry fee)
    Fiction and experimental films up to 25min.
  • NEW DUTCH 2027 (no entry fee)
    Fiction and experimental films up to 25min, produced in the Netherlands.
  • OUTSIDE OF COMPETITION 2027 (no entry fee)
    Features, Documentaries (>25min), Performance Relay (any length), Installations, Stereoscopic and Virtual Reality projects.

CINEDANS FEST 2028

  • INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM COMPETITION 2028 (€20,- entry fee)
    Fiction and experimental films up to 25min.
  • INTERNATIONAL SHORT DOCS COMPETITION 2028 (€15,- entry fee)
    Documentaries up to 25min. Performance registrations & relays should be submitted in the Out of Competition section.

DEADLINES:

  • September 15th 2026 for Cinedans FEST ’27
  • June 30th 2027 for Cinedans FEST ’28

Please note:

  • Professional Dutch productions up to 25min are considered automatically for both New Dutch ’27 (out of competition) and the International Competition ’28. You do not need to apply twice.
  • The International Short Film & Short Docs Competitions take place in 2028. But submissions are already open.
  • If your film is in progress, you can still submit it. Make sure to include all information or materials you have and clearly state by when we could receive a screener link. Note that we would prefer to have a preview by October ’26 so that we can ensure there is enough space in our programming.
  • For installation work and other proposals you can send additional materials to entry@cinedans.nl. Keep in mind that you must submit your project through our entry portal to be considered.

The 23rd edition of Cinedans FEST that hosts the International Student Competition will take place at Eye Filmmuseum, Amsterdam in March 2027.
