Cinedans LAB is proudly presenting the Dance and Camera workshop this year at Cinedans FEST ‘26, for professional makers with a background in movement and/or filmmaking, with an ambition to elevate their skills, led by the emerging artists Steven Elbers and Sara Europaeus. This workshop offers hands-on training in the principals of filming, camera techniques, choreography integration and cinematic story telling. The course will give an insight and guide participants into how movement and the body can be meaningfully used on film and what role the camera plays in this; from concept development, to choreography making, filming and final editing.

This workshop will take place on the 28th March from 10:00 - 18:00 at Eye Filmmuseum Amsterdam. It costs €50 to take part, if you would like to join the workshop but are unable to pay please email laura@cinedans.nl. There is no selection process for participation in this workshop, instead up to 20 participants are accepted on a ‘First come first serve’ basis. Once the entry is full, you will no longer be able to sign up. Participants will receive a confirmation email of their spot, after sign up.
